Reflection on finished shoe

I'm very satisfied with the outcome of my shoe. My objective was to make the shoe as detailed and precise as possible. I think i've achieved my goal. I spent a lot of time on little details on the shoe.

Reflection on shoe sculpture in process

The challenges of making my shoe were the sides. Cutting out the right shapes so they bend the right way is challenging. Also deciding what materials i wanted to use. The shape I have for my shoe is very good. The proportions are good but it is scaled a little larger then the original shoe. 

What I know now

A represtational sculpture is a sculpture that potrays something or someone. It has meaning behind it. An abstract sculpture is something you can make of your own. There is no definate answer to what it is. To make a found object sculpture you should look around for objects and things that inspire you. Once you find them you can make your sculpture out of normally used simple objects.

A sculpture I remember

In millenium park (chicago) there is a huge mirror sculpture right in the middle of the park. It stands out and I see it in a lot of pictures. I think it gives the park charector.

My skills as an artist

My strength is my creativity. It's easy for me to come up with ideas. My weakness is detail and time. Sometimes I will rush through my work because I can't wait for it to be complete.

Why I'm taking Intermediate Sculpture

I'm taking Intermidate Sculpture because I thought it would be fun to build and create new things. I also wanted to try something new that I haven't done before.
